Online nutrition coaching is a 1-on-1 partnership between you and a registered dietitian or certified nutrition coach, conducted entirely over video, messaging, and a shared coaching dashboard. Your coach learns your training, your goals, your eating patterns, and the constraints of your real life — then builds a fueling plan around all of it.
The difference between online nutrition coaching and a macro tracking app is the coach. Apps tell you a number. A coach tells you why the number changed this week, what the scale doing nothing actually means, and how to handle the Friday-night dinner that doesn't fit neatly into a spreadsheet. Done well, online nutrition coaching is the closest thing to having a personal nutritionist on speed-dial — without the per-session price tag of in-person consultations.

What does online nutrition coaching cost?
Most online nutrition coaching packages run $200–$500 per month. CBG sits in that range, with the exact number depending on which program fits your goal and how long you commit. Longer engagements cost less per month because the most expensive part of any coaching relationship is the first 90 days, when your coach is learning you.

For most goals, yes — and often more effective. In-person coaching is constrained by your physical proximity to the coach. Online coaching lets you pick a coach whose specialty actually matches your goal (high-intensity sport performance, body recomposition, perimenopause fueling, GLP-1 nutrition support). The check-ins are async, which means you message your coach when something comes up — not three weeks later at the next office visit.
The first call is an intake: 30–45 minutes covering your history, training, eating patterns, and what success looks like for you. Your coach builds a custom plan, and the next call walks you through it. After that, you have a recurring weekly or bi-weekly check-in cadence, plus on-demand messaging through your coaching dashboard.
CBG is US-based and serves clients across the US most heavily, but coaching is fully online so we work with athletes in Canada, the UK, Australia, the EU, and beyond. Time zones can affect call scheduling but are not a barrier to coaching.
Both are common. Our coaches build plans around dietary patterns — vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free, dairy-free, kosher, halal — and we have specific experience supporting clients on GLP-1 medications, where the coaching focus shifts toward protein adequacy, muscle preservation, and managing the appetite changes the medication produces.
