Justyna Dapuzzo

Sports Nutrition Coach
Syracuse University MS

Justyna has been both an athlete and science lover since she was a kid. She was always drawn to how the environment affects our bodies' physiology at a molecular level. As time progressed, that desire led to an interest in how our DNA interact with the environment, physiology, and the foods that we consume. This led Justyna to pursue a bachelor's in biology at Arcadia University and a MS in molecular nutrition sciences at Syracuse University. While at Syracuse, she was the lead investigator and author on a research project that examined the molecular associations between endocrine-disrupting environmental toxicant levels, diet quality, and the risk/progression of hormonal cancers. Her research found that high intake of environmental toxicants and low diet quality, have the potential to alter DNA methylation patterns, gene expression patterns, and inflammatory responses resulting in increased risk to breast cancer. With 6 years of research and education experience, Justyna is able to understand and use genetic blueprints to increase athletic performance, diet and life quality for our CBG clients and athletes!
