Zoe Seitz’s Postpartum Transformation: A CBG Success Story

Like many mothers with three young children, Zoe Seitz stopped prioritizing her own fitness and nutrition while she focused on her babies.

“My diet was terrible. I ate like a total asshole… I was eating whatever was easy to make quickly…And we moved from California to Texas, so now I lived in the land of fried chicken. It was really bad,” said Seitz, now 29.

Further, breastfeeding made her so hungry that she “was eating a ton,” she said. Not to mention her hormones “were so messed up.”

Needless to say, Sietz had packed on more weight than she ever thought she would.

But after she finished breastfeeding her third baby, Seitz felt it was time to dial in her nutrition and get fit again.

So she did what many people do and turned to MyFitnessPal and began tracking her macros.

It worked. For a while. She lost 27 pounds on her own, but then she hit a plateau and she knew tracking everything she ate wasn’t a long-term solution to being fit and healthy.

Further, Seitz felt like she had “exhausted all of the resources” and knowledge she had.

“I needed help at this point,” she said.

At the same time, Seitz kept seeing ads for CBG on Instagram and her interest was piqued, but she lurked for a long time before finally reaching out to CBG.

After following CBG closely online for six months, Seitz finally decided to take the plunge in July, 2024.

She was teamed up with CBG coach Gabrielle “Gabby” Bolin and admits she was apprehensive about the CBG Blueprint approach at first, as she had grown somewhat accustomed to tracking her macros. Further, the amount of food Bolin was asking her to eat seemed like a lot.

“At the beginning, I was texting Gab all the time, being like, ‘Holy shit, I can’t eat this much food,’” Seitz remembered.

But she decided to trust Gabby.

And she is sure glad she did.

Where She is Today

Since working with Bolin, Seitz has lost 15 more pounds, and is now sitting at 151 pounds at five-foot-six, down from her heaviest weight of 189. Further, she’s down 6.5 percent body fat, as well.

Further, Seitz’s performance in the gym has skyrocketed to a level she has never experienced before.

“I got my pull-up back,” Seitz said, adding that she can also do chest-to-bar pull-ups now, as well.

“And the other day I was doing handstand push-ups and I felt as light as a feather. It was the craziest feeling,” she added.

Even more notable, however, is that even with the weight loss, Seitz’s strength numbers have increased as well.

She has increased her back squat by 80 pounds, her bench press by 30 pounds and her deadlift by 50 pounds, to name a few milestones.

Seitz’s Message

Nothing can replace a personal coach.

“If you’re in a place in your journey where you’re at a point where you have hit a plateau and you need someone to hold you accountable and help you fine tune and give you more nutritional knowledge, [then CBG is perfect for you],” Seitz said, adding that the support “of having a coach in your pocket” is also invaluable.

It has been for her.

That being said, a coach can only help so much. If you’re going to invest in a coach, you need to be willing to put in the work, Seitz said.

“No one can do it for you. If you have a goal, if you want to lose a certain amount of weight or you have training goals, then it all comes down to you personally. The decisions you make matter.”

She continued: “Your coach isn’t going to get in your kitchen and meal prep for you. Your coach isn’t going to go to the grocery store for you. You have to make the plan and execute the plan. You still have to do the work.”

A coach, though, certainly helps make it a lot easier.
