"Is She on Ozempic?" No, She Just Ditched Macro Tracking for CBG

When it came to her nutrition, Megann Pawlak was burnt out.

“I was yo-yo-ing. I would count my macros and then would get sick and tired of it, and then I’d go back on it. I didn’t want to do this for the rest of my life,” Megann explained.

Enough was enough.

Megann, 47, knew about CBG, and was curious about their approach. Consequently, last October she signed up for the four-month program and began working with CBG Coach Kelly Butler.

She had such amazing results that, after she finished the initial program, she didn’t even hesitate to continue her nutrition coaching with Coach Butler.

“It is the easiest thing that has worked for me and the best thing,” Megann said.

Where She is Today

From body composition, to her performance in the gym, to the way she feels, Megan’s life has skyrocketed since working with Coach Butler.

Weight Loss: Megann has lost 16 pounds since October, weighing 155 pounds today, down from 171 pounds.

Performance: Both Megann’s absolute strength and bodyweight strength have seen big gains in recent months. She has added 25 pounds to her deadlift and got her first pull-up last November. She was also able to do all three Open workouts as prescribed for the first time ever.

“And I can run a mile without having to stop. I used to have to walk. I just feel so much better,” she said. “And I have noticed a huge difference in the tone of my muscles. They’re popping out. People ask me over and over what I’m doing. My husband even thought I was on Ozempic.”

A big personal accomplishment: “I saved a pair of pants that I wore back in 2015, and I was able to fit in them after three months with CBG.”

Best of all, following the CBG Blueprint has been easier and less stressful than anything she had tried before.

“I don’t even really have to look at the [CBG] Blueprint anymore. I just know what I need to eat,” she said.

Often this means sticking with the same foods—overnight oats and a protein shake after the gym, and a sandwich and veggies for lunch—but it also means she can have her favorite recovery meal from time to time: Mexican tacos with chips and salsa (guilt free).

“I know what I can eat, but I also like the fact that I can still have recovery.”
