Coach Justyna has been both an athlete and science lover since she was a kid. She was always drawn to how the environment affects our bodies’ physiology at a molecular level. As time progressed, that desire led to an interest in how our DNA interacts with the environment, physiology, and the foods that we consume. This led Justyna to a successful career in nutrition counseling!
While at Syracuse, she was the lead investigator and author on a research project that examined the molecular associations between endocrine disrupting environmental toxicant levels, diet quality, and the risk/progression of hormonal cancers. Her research found that high intake of environmental toxicants and low diet quality, have the potential to alter DNA methylation patterns, gene expression patterns, and inflammatory responses resulting in increased risk to breast cancer.
After over ten years of experience, Justyna can understand and use genetic blueprints to increase athletic performance, diet, and life quality for our CBG clients and athletes!
